Barriers consist of the following product groups
- Low energy barrier for absorbing energies between 100 kJ and
250 kJ - RXI barrier systems for absorbing energies between 500 kJ
and 2000 kJ - High energy barrier system for absorbing energy of 5000 kJ
Rockfall Drapes and Netting
Posted February 4th, 2008 by geobruggnzDynamic rockfall barriers – certified energy absorption up to 3000 kJ –
have proven their worth as reliable protection from rockfall events and as
the most economical solutions. However, in situations where
Slope Stabilisation Mesh System
Posted February 3rd, 2008 by geobruggnzThe TECCO® system stabilizes steep slopes: After cleaning, trimming and leveling, the surface is covered by a steel-wire mesh which is tensioned at a defined additional torque force via previously drilled soil or rock nails and spike plates. Put briefly: The mesh fits to the topography and in this way prevents not only slides but also rocks from breaking out.
Debris Flow Barriers
Posted February 2nd, 2008 by geobruggnzFlexible ring net barriers are tried and true at arresting rockfall up to 5,000 kJ all over the world and in many rockfall events. The same ring net barrier systems can be employed just as successfully as torrent and debris flow barriers.
Different torrent and debris flow barriers are constructed depending on the torrent properties and conditions and on project parameters:
Avalanche Prevention Solutions
Posted February 1st, 2008 by geobruggnzAvalanche protective structures made of wire rope nets are a Geobrugg development and have stood the test since 1951 in various countries in andoutside of Europe. These avalanche protective structures manufactured from rope nets and steel wire mesh, anchored to posts in the earth and at right angles to
the slope, create a protective surface reaching up to the surface of the snow.
